about me

Hi, I’m Vivian Gietz (she/her) — a Vancouver-based Fractional Operations & Communications Director supporting nonprofits with funding strategy, internal systems, and clear storytelling.

I bring 8+ years of nonprofit experience across operations, communications, and grant writing, and have secured $400,000+ in grant funding. I currently serve as Operations Director at a women’s addiction recovery organization, where I support planning, systems development, funding strategy, and leadership decision-making.

I believe that creativity and structure work best together. Colour, design, and expression aren’t just fluff. They help teams think better, communicate more honestly, and build systems that actually work. When people feel safe to be authentic at work, collaboration improves, and complex problems become easier to solve. This is why my work sits at the intersection of operations and communications.

Outside of work, I’m a nail artist, cat mom, and frequent beach-goer. As a bi woman, my work is shaped by intersectional feminism and a belief in community-centered organizations that lead with care, equity, and integrity — not just in words, but in practice.

Through Melondrop Marketing, I offer embedded, director-level support for nonprofits that need clarity, momentum, and a steady partner, without hiring full-time.
